These are symptoms of stress in cats you must know:

a. Cats will eat less when they are stress, just like human.

b. They will hide in certain area when they are feeling stress or when they feel scared and they only come out in the midnight.

c. Cats will be more vocal than usual if they are stress.

d. They will stop using their litter box and urinating near the furniture, on your carpet, and even on your bed.

e. They will spray certain areas to mark their territory. Cats will feel safer if they are near objects that have same smell with them.

How to reduce cat stress:

a. Give a safe place to your cat. It can be in your toilet, under the bed, in a back room. Make sure your dog can't reach your cat's safe place.

b. Since cats are creatures of habits, make sure you groom and feed your cat in the same time each day. It will make him feel more comfortable, and of course, his stress will decrease.

c. Give more attention to your cat. You must show that you still love and care about your cat.
